The SIA is a proud strategic partner of the Human Factors & Ergonomics Society of Australia (HFESA), through forums such as the Congress of Occupational Safety and Health Association Presidents (COSHAP) and the Health and Safety Professionals Alliance (HaSPA).     

Accordingly, the SIA gladly cross promotes such HFESA events as they provide SIA members with another Continuing Professional Devleopment (CPD) opportunity. CPD points would be allocated as per the CPD Logbook.

David Caple is nationally and internationally recognised for his contributions and experience in the areas of human factors and ergonomics including organisational change management, prevention of musculoskeletal disorders, and collaborative workplaces.

David is Past President of the International Ergonomics Association (IEA) and the HFESA, and a Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE) in Australia, the UK and USA.
This full-day seminar will showcase how the application of human factors and ergonomics can:

  • Reduce aggression and the risk of occupational violence, and improve workplace safety;
  • Promote positive social interactions and collaborative working;
  • Improve job satisfaction, staff morale and productivity;
