This course will examine the role of job design and how this impacts workers’ health and wellbeing. A range of physical and psychosocial workplace factors will be examined to understand the relationship with a range of health outcomes including work related musculoskeletal disorders.
In addition, the role of fatigue and stress on health and workplace productivity will be explored. Practical examples of workplace risk management strategies will be used to illustrate how changes might be made in the workplace.
At the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Identify and evaluate of a range of workplace factors that impact work, health, and wellbeing.
- Develop strategies to identify and control physical and psychosocial hazards and risk for the development of work-related musculoskeletal disorders.
- Understand the relationship between workload, work-related performance, and fatigue.
Online learning package with four interactive online sessions prior to workshop and one follow up online session two weeks after the workshop.
Online session dates commence 19th June 2017. A range of learning materials will be provided and a two-day face-to-face workshop. An optional formal assessment that will gain recognition by La Trobe can also occur.
